Make sure you are uploading to the right web directory, which is inside the public_html or www folder. If you're sure you're uploading to the right folder, you are probably out of disk space. If your FTP progam is not connecting properly, here are some possible reasons: STEP 1: Your firewall could be blocking it. STEP 2: Make sure you have the IP address in your welcome email for host name (only the numbers don't add ftp, www or anything else). STEP 3: Make sure your username and password are the same as your control panel username and password. STEP 4: Some FTP programs require a path in order to connect. You can upload new files to your account and have them visible on the public web by uploading them to the /public_html folder. If you wish to upload files that will only be visible to you, you can upload them in the / direcotry of your FTP account.
We offer TLS/SSL support on port 21, passive but not required. FileZilla offers great support for this. Hit Ctrl+S in FileZilla, click "New Site" and select FTPES - FTP over explicit TLS/SSL Just use a "Normal" login, with your regular cPanel username and password.
